Celebrating a Century of Grace: Leah Wangari Gichuru (June 21, 1932 – January 2, 2026)
Today, our hearts are heavy with loss but overflowing with gratitude as we celebrate the remarkable life of Leah Wangari Gichuru. Gracefully journeying through 93 years of life, Leah was a woman who bridged generations, carrying the wisdom of the past into the promise of the future. To her parents, she was a beloved daughter who honoured her roots. To her children, she was a mother of endless patience and guidance—a steady hand in difficult times and a joyful cheer in moments of success. To her grandchildren, she was a treasure trove of stories, warmth, and unconditional love. As a sister and family member, Leah was the quiet strength that held the family fabric together. As a friend, she was loyal and kind. Above all, as a dedicated Sister in Christ, she walked a path of unwavering faith, serving as a shining example of God’s love to everyone she encountered. She leaves behind a legacy not just in years, but in the hearts she touched. While she rests now, her spirit lives on in the family she built and the community she served. Rest well, good and faithful servant.
