Today, our hearts are heavy with loss but overflowing with gratitude as we celebrate the remarkable life of Leah Wangari Gichuru. Gracefully journeying through 93 years of life, Leah was a woman who bridged generations, carrying the wisdom of the past into the promise of the future. To her parents, she was a beloved daughter who honoured her roots. To her children, she was a mother of endless patience and guidance—a steady hand in difficult times and a joyful cheer in moments of success. To her grandchildren, she was a treasure trove of stories, warmth, and unconditional love. As a sister and family member, Leah was the quiet strength that held the family fabric together. As a friend, she was loyal and kind. Above all, as a dedicated Sister in Christ, she walked a path of unwavering faith, serving as a shining example of God’s love to everyone she encountered. She leaves behind a legacy not just in years, but in the hearts she touched. While she rests now, her spirit lives on in the family she built and the community she served.
